The DLSU Lady Spikers swept the FEU Lady Tamaraws for a commanding start to the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament.
The DLSU Lady Spikers recovered from a four-point deficit midway through set 3 to complete a resounding sweep of the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 25-19, 25-14, 27-25, to open UAAP Season 88 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
La Salle was trailing 12-16 before Shevana Laput and Amie Provido powered a 6-0 run to flip the script on FEU.
The Lady Spikers then finished things off with another 5-1 run to claim their first win of the new season.
Laput led the La Salle’s offense with 23 points. Angel Canino played supporting role with 15 markers, while Provido added 11 points for the Lady Spikers.
Gerz Petallo was the bright spot for FEU in the loss with 11 points.
