La Salle hasn’t beaten FEU in three years. Can the Green Spikers finally solve the Tamaraws riddle in their first game of UAAP Season 88?
A new era begins for La Salle — but a familiar rival stands in the way.
The Green Spikers open their UAAP Season 88 men’s volleyball campaign against the FEU Tamaraws on Saturday, February 14, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
First serve is at 11:00 a.m. with the matchup streaming on the Pilipinas Live app. It will also air on the UAAP Varsity Channel.
La Salle is coming off its third straight Final Four appearance, finishing as the No. 4 seed last season before falling to the Tamaraws — who eventually finished as runners-up behind the NU Bulldogs.
Now in the post-Noel Kampton era, the Green Spikers aim to end a 22-year championship drought and snap a five-game losing streak to the Tamaraws dating back to Season 86.
Co-captain MJ Fortuna is expected to banner the Green Archers, joined by middle blocker Issa Ousseini and other key players.

Season 88 presents a clean slate — and perhaps the perfect opportunity for La Salle to rewrite its story against a rival that has repeatedly stood in its way.
