Whoever prevails will meet second-ranked NU Lady Bulldogs in another high-stakes, do-or-die matchup with a spot in the Finals against unbeaten UST on the line.
Adamson finished the elimination round at 7–7, but enters the semis riding a wave of momentum thanks to a three-game winning streak.
One of their latest victims was Ateneo itself, which the Lady Falcons secured a 77–71 win in their penultimate elimination game.
Nigerian center Kemi Adeshina, Elaine Etang, and Cheska Apag led the charge, with Etang scoring a team-high 19 points, Apag contributing 18, and Adeshina adding 14 markers.
Now facing Ateneo for a second time in just a week, the Lady Falcons look to once again bounce the Blue Eagles out of the playoffs. Both teams met in the stepladder last year, with the then no. 3 Adamson taking the victory.
