The UP Fighting Maroons controlled most of the way to defeat the UE Lady Warriors, 81–67, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball tournament on Saturday, November 8, at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

UP built a commanding lead after three quarters and weathered UE’s late rally, as the Lady Warriors outscored them 16–9 in the final period.

The Fighting Maroons improved to 3–8, while UE remained winless at 0–11.

UP will next face Adamson on November 16, while UE takes on unbeaten UST on November 12 as it continues to search for its first win of the season.
