The NU Bulldogs battled in a nip-and-tuck affair against the Adamson Soaring Falcons to seal their place in the UAAP Final Four.
The NU Bulldogs relied on the late game heroics of Mark Parks to survive Matthew Montebon and the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 66-65, for their ninth win of UAAP Season 88 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion on Saturday.
Even as Montebon put NU ahead, 65-63, with 37.5 left in the fourth, two misses from the free throw line from Matty Erolon opened the door for the Bulldogs.
Jake Figueroa caught a leaking Parks at the other end of the court for an and-one opportunity to take the lead, 66-65, with 10.9 ticks left in the ballgame.
They then forced the miss in the next possession as Montebon attempted a potential game-winning triple.
With no other choice, Adamson played the foul game and sent Steve Nash Enriquez to the charity stripe. Despite missing both his freebies, Adamson couldn't get a shot to go in at the last moment to save the game.
NU moves to 9-2 while Adamson falls to 5-6.
