The FEU Tamaraws aim to keep their push for the Final Four alive when they tangle against confident Adamson in UAAP Season 88.
Mo Konateh and the FEU Tamaraws are out to get back on track as they take on the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Sunday, November 2, at 2 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Tamaraws (3-6) are looking to rebound after a double-digit loss to defending champion UP, a result that stalled their push to climb the standings.
Despite the setback, Konateh turned in an impressive individual performance, tallying 24 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks.
Now sitting outside the Final Four picture, FEU needs to pick up more wins to stay in contention, and a victory against red-hot Adamson would be a massive step forward.
The Tamaraws are expected to lean on their inside strength and defensive energy to contain an Adamson team full of confidence following a gutsy overtime win over UST — a victory that extended their winning streak to four games.
Head coach Sean Chambers will once again look to Konateh’s leadership and interior dominance as FEU aims to snap out of its slump and stay alive in the playoff race.
