League-leader NU aims for revenge when the Bulldogs lock horns with the defending champions UP Fighting Maroons in a Round 2 UAAP men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

NU leads the league with a 6-1 record, their best start since Season 86, and is on the heels of a 71-66 overtime win over the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

The victory marked the Bulldogs’ third straight win and made them the only team so far to reach six wins.

Jake Figueroa had an all-around performance with 13 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists as Steve Nash Enriquez added 12 markers. 

Omar John contributed 11 points and nine rebounds in game where NU squandered a 17-point lead before hanging on in the extra period. 

UP is the only team to beat NU this season, and the Bulldogs are determined to avenge that loss in a highly anticipated rematch.
