Mason Amos is trusting the long process ahead of his recovery from injury.

The DLSU big man sustained a minor MCL tear on his right knee Sunday, leading to his abrupt exit during the Green Archers' 82-78 loss against the NU Bulldogs.

“I have faith in you, Lord,” Amos later shared in an Instagram Story with a photo of his knee heavily wrapped up.

The severity of Amos' injury was confirmed by La Salle head coach Topex Robinson to One Sports and the 6-foot-7 forward is set to be sidelined for about “4-6 weeks.”

Robinson added there is no specific timetable for the 22-year-old’s return, but Amos could miss the remainder of the elimination round based on his expected absence.

The injury occurred early in the fourth quarter when Amos accidentally collided with NU’s Gelo Santiago, with Robinson stating that Amos “felt a pop” during the incident before being helped off the court.

Across five games, the former Gilas Pilipinas player is averaging 8.4 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds for La Salle, his first season in Taft.

His absence is another blow to the Green Archers’ inconsistent start to the season as DLSU is currently at 2–3 after back-to-back losses.
