University of the Philippines finally got a victory in its third try, crushing University of the East in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball.
Rey Remogat displayed an inspired game against his former school, powering University of the Philippines past University of the East, 92-75, for its first win in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Sunday, Sept. 28.
Remogat, who normed a mere 2.5 points in the Fighting Maroons' first two games, including a scoreless outing against Adamson the last time out, scored 10 of his 21 points in the first quarter alone to lead his squad.
Remogat went 7-for-16 from the field while also tallying seven rebounds, 11 assists and two steals.
UP thus broke free from a two-game slump while keeping the Red Warriors at the losing column at 0-3.
UE now lost nine straight games since the second round last season.
