UAAP: MJ Manguiat, FEU target early upset vs defending champs NU in Season 88 debut

The FEU Lady Tamaraws will hit the hardwood in the Season 88 women’s basketball tournament with no easing-in period, taking on the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs in the curtain raiser on Saturday, September 27, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Game time is set at 12:00 p.m.

FEU aims to bounce back after a rough Season 87 campaign, where they finished 3-11 and missed the Final Four for the third straight year following their playoff appearance in Season 82.

Former Gilas Women standout Yvette Villanueva is expected to take on a larger role for the Lady Tamaraws under second-year coach Raiza Palmera-Dy.

Amyah Espanol is set to make her debut, joining returnees Shane Salvani, MJ Manguiat, and Maxene dela Torre.
