Lams Lamina remained for one more year in NU even as Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon moved forward in their volleyball careers.
Lams Lamina is going through a productive offseason, having joined Alas Pilipinas in tournaments earlier this year as she prepares to take the reins for the NU Lady Bulldogs in UAAP Season 88.
Among the veterans who stayed for one more year in Jhocson, Lamina and the rest of the Lady Bulldogs prepare for life without their two star hitters.

But with a new batch of Lady Bulldogs incoming, Lamina said that there isn’t too much to worry about. Knowing that the team’s time with Belen and Solomon was short, there are already new additions who are hopeful to fill in the void.
“Since wala naman na 'yung seniors namin, marami naman pong mga bata na pumasok. And ayun, kaabang-abang naman po sila and I think very helpful sila sa team namin.” said Lamina during a press conference for a preseason tiff.
On a personal note, Lamina said that she is easing into a role as a more determined leader.
Rather than focusing on her own stats and performances, the playmaker is seeking to be more of a leader on and off the court. After spending time with the national team program during the SEA V.League and the AVC Nations Cup, there has been numerous opportunities for her to hone these skills.
“'Yung tingin ko, nag-improve ako as a player and as a person. Kasi ngayon, more on I’m focusing sa team ko. Mas nali-lead ko sila ng maayos at nahe-help ko in many ways,” she said.
Lamina will be NU’s offensive anchor along with veteran hitter Vange Alinsug.
The Lady Bulldogs will be vying into the rest of the year under new management with Regine Diego taking the reins after just one year of Sherwin Meneses’ tenure in Jhocson. Lamina will be flanked by a younger setter in Abe Pono.
