Milena Alessandrini and Nic Cabañero just added a major milestone to their lives — earning their respective college degrees.
The two are the latest UST standouts to finish their studies, joining a growing roster of student-athletes closing one chapter of their collegiate journey.
They follow in the footsteps of Golden Tigresses team captain and star libero Detdet Pepito, as well as PVL-bound outside hitter Pia Abbu, in this offseason’s wave of academic milestones within the UST community.

Alessandrini, the UAAP Season 80 Rookie of the Year, graduated from the College of Commerce and Business Administration with a degree in marketing management.
The Fil-Italian spiker's collegiate journey was marked by adversity, having endured an ACL tear and recurring shoulder issues that sidelined her for multiple seasons.
Still, Alessandrini made a remarkable return in Season 85, helping the Golden Tigresses reach the Final Four and proving her resilience on and off the court.
Sharing the spotlight is Cabañero, who also earned his degree in marketing management. But while his academic journey has concluded, his collegiate basketball career continues.
He is set to return for his fifth year this coming Season 88 after the 21-year-old became a vital cog in steering the Growling Tigers to their first UAAP Final Four appearance in five years.
Currently, UST is in the middle of their campaign in the 18th Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup.
Once, Alessandrini and Cabañero roamed the halls of España as promising rookies. Today, they emerged as proud graduates — living proof that excellence in sports can go hand in hand with success in academics.
