Shaina Nitura was the runaway choice for UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball Rookie of the Year as she finished second in overall statistical points.
Shaina Nitura will highlight her record-breaking year with the Adamson Lady Falcons as Rookie of the Year, after she became the runaway choice, finishing second overall in the statistical points race behind three-time MVP Bella Belen.
Nitura, who is the owner of the single-game scoring record and the single-season scoring record all in her first season, finished with 74.259 statistical points.
Despite finishing behind Belen by a mile, with 22 SPs across them, Nitura still had the second-best outing overall, nosing out the likes of Angel Canino, Shevana Laput, Reg Jurado, and other more experienced hitters.
