NU recorded a 16-25, 25-20, 25-21, 29-27 triumph against UST in their first round clash last March 16.
National U is also coming off a convincing 30-28, 25-23, 25-16 dismissal of Ateneo last time out.
Buds Buddin led the charge with 15 points, as Leo Aringo chipped in 12 markers and Jan Abanilla contributed 11.
