The NU Bulldogs seek to keep pace with leaders FEU and UST in a UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball duel against the UP Fighting Maroons on Sunday, March 9, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After a stunning loss to the Tamaraws, the four-time defending champions responded with a four-set thwarting of the hapless UE Red Warriors in their last outing.

Leo Ordiales led the Bulldogs with 18 points, while Buds Buddin tallied 16 more markers in a game where they staved off a brave early stand from the Red Warriors before cruising to their third win in four games.

Team captain Leo Aringo, who contributed 15 points, emphasized on working on their lapses against UE before heading to their weekend clash with UP.

"Sa susunod gagawin pa namin ‘yung need pa i-improve kasi kita naman sa game kanina, may mga pagkukulang. Start lang ulit kami sa training para punan ‘yung mga pagkukulang,” Aringo said.

At 3-1, NU is in solo third just behind the no. 1 FEU (5-0) and second-ranked UST (4-1).
