UAAP schedule: UST, DLSU on the hunt for the twice-to-beat bonus in the final game of Season 86

The final games in the elimination round UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament have arrived and fans are waiting with bated breath going into the playoffs.

National University, De La Salle University, and the University of Santo Tomas are currently locked in a stalemate with an 11-2 record each, and are vying for the crucial twice-to-beat bonus heading into the Final Four.

Meanwhile, Far Eastern University have cemented their standing at fourth place and can potentially cause chaos to the Top 3 teams.

So, what exactly does this thrilling week have in store for UAAP fans? Let’s delve deeper into the schedule.

April 24, 2024 (Wednesday)

Ateneo vs. Adamson (2:00 p.m.)

The Battle of the Birds will kick off the exciting week as the Ateneo Blue Eagles face off against the Adamson Lady Falcons.

Both teams had a rather disappointing Season 86 but are looking to end the tournament on a good note.

In the first round, the Blue Eagles soared high to overcome a tough challenge from the Lady Falcons, winning in four sets, 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23.

Both coming off losses in their previous match, Ateneo and Adamson will look to have something to smile about as they end their Season 86 campaign.

NU vs FEU (4:00 p.m.)

Two of the hottest teams in the league will face off as the red-hot NU Lady Bulldogs will face off against the streaking FEU Lady Tamaraws.

The Lady Bulldogs, who have yet to lose a game in the second round, will look to secure the top spot and the twice-to-beat bonus by beating the Lady Tamaraws, who have won five in a row.

FEU, on the other hand, will look to play spoiler and continue their impressive run heading into the Final Four.

A loss against FEU will send the NU down to the third spot where they will have a playoff for the twice-to-beat advantage between either DLSU or UST.

April 27, 2024 (Saturday)

UP vs UE (12:00 p.m.)

It's a fight to the finish on Saturday as the UP Fighting Maroons and UE Lady Warriors, who are in the bottom two of the standings.

The Lady Warriors will look to secure their third win in the season, a great improvement from Season 85, while the Fighting Maroons will eye their second win in the tournament.

It hasn’t been the season that UP and UE fans may have wanted but a win on the final day of the elimination round could give them hope for the next UAAP season.

UST vs De La Salle (6:00 p.m.)

It's a showdown to determine the hunter and the hunted between the UST Golden Tigresses and the DLSU Lady Spikers.

A win for either team will give them the crucial twice-to-beat advantage come the Final Four.

The Golden Tigresses have slowly but surely recovered from their injuries, while the Lady Spikers have finally shown their true form without reigning MVP Angel Canino.
