It was a dream-come-true moment for Ateneo setter KC Cortez as she met her idol, the former Blue Eagles champion and now Choco Mucho Flying Titans ace, Deanna Wong.
Different generations of Ateneo Blue Eagles came through for the Season 86 team Sunday, with the likes of Deanna Wong, Maddie Madayag, Jaja Maraguinot, Dzi Gervacio, Jem Ferrer, and Faith Nisperos supporting the team in their round-2 rematch against the UP Fighting Maroons.

The youthful Blue Eagles made their ates proud, with KC Cortez, along with her fellow rookies Mitzi Pacia and Rosel Selga, taking charge to beat UP in straight sets.
After the dominant sweep against the UP Fighting Maroons, Cortez had a priceless encounter with her volleyball hero and fellow Ateneo setter, Deanna Wong.
Of course, Deanna was a former UAAP Best Setter and was part of Ateneo's last title team in Season 81. She deserves her fangirls.
So, the question is, ipinasa na ba ni Boss D ang bertud kay KC?
One thing is for sure: The future is bright for the Ateneo Blue Eagles with Cortez at the helm.
