The De La Salle Lady Spikers pulled off a magical UAAP Season 85, finishing on top of the standings after the eliminations, trouncing the UST Golden Tigresses in the Final Four, and then getting a finals payback against the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs to capture the title.

Their stars brought home individual awards, too, led by sensational rookie Angel Canino winning MVP.

It sounds like a season where players and coaching staff deserve a month-long break from, but that’s not the case for coach Ramil de Jesus.

The work continues for the mentor hailed by many as UAAP’s greatest of all-time, as he seeks to give the Taft-based squad a boost during the collegiate league’s offseason—through scouting.

On Sunday, de Jesus was spotted in the bleachers of the San Andres Gym in Manila, where the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League is being played.

It was actually a wide shot that didn’t exactly focus on de Jesus, but fans were able to identify Coach RDJ even from a mile away.

The game where de Jesus was seen featured the Bacolod Tay Tung High School going against UST's girls squad. Some Twitter netizens speculate that the coach may have his eyes on Margaret Altea of UST, although it was Bacolod Tay Tung who reigned victorious, winning the game in straight sets to advance to the tourney’s semifinals.

With a coach who's showing this much dedication to the game, UAAP rival teams may have their hands full against La Salle not just in Season 86, but in more years to come.
