Pader! La Salle dominates net with overwhelming block disparity against Adamson

No typo error here. 14-1 block points in favor of the La Salle Lady Spikers against the Adamson Lady Falcons.

The towering Lady Spikers ruled over the net to get their sixth straight win in the UAAP Season 85 Women Volleyball Tournament, in a much-anticipated matchup against Adamson

For La Salle interim coach Noel Orcullo, their dominance in the blocking department is a just a matter of living up to the billing as the best blocking squad in the collegiate scene.

"Kami 'yung number one sa blocking so kailangan pangatawanan, number one tayo, kailangan gawin natin 'yung trabaho natin dito sa taas,"  Orcullo said.

After losing the first set against Adamson, La Salle didn't let the ladies from San Marcelino, Manila get past the 20-point mark in the following sets. Orcullo said the Lady Spikers were told to make things easier for their attackers via service and blocks.

"'Yung nga 'yung lagi naming sinasabi namin sa kanila, ''Yung makukuha natin unang-una sa service, sa block, bakit kailangan pa nating pahirapan mga spiker natin?'"

La Salle 5-foot-11 middle blocker Fifi Sharma contributed 6 of the block points, and shared how she has been working to improve her defense.

"The last few games, I was actually, my goal is to improve on my blocking. So, I think I just got lucky today, na-apply ko 'yung mga na-practice namin these past few days," she said.
