With a runaway 102.5 statistical points in Season 85, National University Nazareth School Bullpups point guard Reinhard Jumamoy is named the Most Valuable Player in UAAP boys’ basketball on Friday.

Jumamoy, the first-ever Bullpup to become juniors hoops MVP, held a double-digit lead in statistical points over runner-up Kristian Porter. The Ateneo Blue Eagle big man notched 91.846 SPs for the season.

The floor general from Cebu, who averaged 18 points, 9.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 2.8 steals in 14 games, is all gratitude.

"First of all, nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord dahil unexpected itong blessing [na] ito. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa tiwala ng coaches namin, kung wala sila, hindi ko ito makukuha. 'Yung family ko rin, since day one, hindi nila ako iniwan," said Jumamoy.

Jumamoy and Porter also made it to the Mythical Team in the juniors’ division. Both of them, however, failed to bring their teams to the finals. That distinction belongs to their co-Mythical Team awardee Janrey Pasaol of the Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraws, who led his team to the boys' basketball championship, clinching the title also on Friday.

Kobe Demisana of the University of the Philippines Integrated School Junior Fighting Maroons and Rhyle Melecio of De La Salle Zobel Junior Archers round up the Magic Five.

Meanwhile, Demisana’s teammate, Daryl Valdeavilla, takes home the Rookie of the Year plum.
