The Ateneo Blue Eagles' main gun knows how much ammo they have. It's just a matter of unloading it at the right time.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles have yet to deliver a statement win in the UAAP Season 85 Women's Volleyball Tournament.
After losing to the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs in their opener, the Blue Eagles scraped a 3-1 win over the UE Lady Warriors on Wednesday.
While happy with the dub, Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro was admittedly expecting more of a fight from his squad.
But Ateneo's star Faith Nisperos remains confident with her team, despite their slow start.
"I am not doubtful naman pagdating sa team ko. It's our time, and our efforts na kailangan mapakita sa game ang pinagte-trainingan namin."
The former two-time UAAP Juniors MVP knows the Blue Eagles have the capability to dominate. It's only a matter of showing their form when it matters most.
"'Yung gusto naming performance, nagagawa namin sa training, hindi lang napapakita," Nisperos said.
"So it's there, it's just a matter of how we're going to show it in game... It's more of internal thing na what we need to do is strengthen our, maybe, our organization inside."
The Blue Eagles will have to figure things out fast though, because they are facing their rivals De La Salle Lady Spikers on Sunday.
