Marcial punched his way to victory after a close split decision win against Indonesia’s Muskitya Maikhel Robberd in the 2025 SEA Games men’s 80kg final on Friday, December 19.
Marcial closed the opening round aggressively, unleashing a sharp barrage of combinations before Robberd fired back with a late flurry of his own.
In the final two rounds, the Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist looked to close out his Indonesian counterpart after unleashing another solid combination.
And in the end, he was awarded with a narrow win to claim his fifth SEA Games gold.
Earlier, Aira Villegas, Jay Bryan Baricuatro, and Flint Jara each came up short against their Thai rivals, taking home silver medals.
