Jema Galanza all in this PVL All-Filipino Conference

Jema Galanza all in this PVL All-Filipino Conference

Safe to say, Jema Galanza is all in this Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

Reeling from a foiled Grand Slam last season, the Creamline ace said her 100 percent focus is on this upcoming conference, which begins on February 4.

“Gusto ko lang mabigay 'yung 100 percent ko. Hindi lang ako pati 'yung team din. Mas focused talaga as in hangga’t maari, PVL lang iisipin ko this season,” she said.

Creamline fell short of a rare treble last year after bowing out in the semifinals of the Reinforced Conference, which introduced the tiebreak system. Petro Gazz ultimately won the championship of the season-ending competition.

The Cool Smashers were given enough rest after that heartbreaking exit, and now they are out to regain supremacy.

Save for Alyssa Valdez, who is still recovering from a knee injury, Creamline will parade an entirely intact roster this year. Meaning, familiarity will be the team’s main weapon.

The Cool Smashers pretty much have everything, but there are three things Galanza thinks are still lacking.

“Walang nagbago sa team, solid Creamline pa rin. So, siguro 'yung maturity pa at katatagan sa loob ng court, at unity talaga kasi minsan sa sobrang komportable sa isa’t isa, nawawala na 'yung importansya ng bawat isa,” she said.

Even so, there is on denying that Creamline will be among the favorites again this Open Conference, and expect Galanza to take on a bigger role moving forward.
