For a team trying to get a full grasp of a new system, an early adversity was necessary for Farm Fresh.

Jolina dela Cruz had this to say after the Foxies finally claimed a 25-14, 25-15, 25-12 win over Galeries Tower in the PVL All-Filipino Conference Saturday, Feb. 14.

“Talo kami sa first two games. I think talagang kailangan naming pagdaanan 'yong ganoon para mas tumibay kami,” said Dela Cruz.

Dela Cruz and the rest of Farm Fresh are still getting used to their new coach, Japanese Koji Tsuzurabara, and it helps that he is infusing an “Asian style” of play.

“Under coach Koji, mostly naman ng training, Asian training talaga. In terms of language, madali namang intindihin si coach kasi he knows how to speak English talaga,” said Dela Cruz, who finished with nine points, including some key ones in the third frame.

“I think itong sistema ni coach, swak na rin sa'min kasi Asian style.”

Now that the Foxies have broken into the win column, Dela Cruz only expects the team to get better by the day.

“Hindi namain in an instant, makakabuo kami ng chemistry. Super happy ako na lahat sa team ngayon, nag-contribute,” she said.
