The Akari Chargers look to regain their footing as they take on the winless ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

After dropping their opener to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, the Chargers enter the 6:30 p.m. matchup intent on tightening their execution and responding with a more consistent performance.

While the offense showed flashes, Akari will need better balance and stronger net presence to control longer rallies.

Fifi Sharma is expected to play a key role in that adjustment.

As one of the Chargers' primary middle blockers, Sharma provides stability at the net and contributes on quick attacks, finishing as the sole double-digit scorer in the loss with 10 points.

Much will be expected from Akari's spikers in Grethcel Soltones, Ivy Lacsina, and Eli Soyud, who remain central to the team’s scoring.

Head coach Tina Salak is also expected to have team captain Justine Jazareno back in the fold after missing the previous game due to health reasons.

With both teams seeking their first win of the conference, Akari knows that early composure and disciplined play could determine the outcome.
