Choco Mucho superstar Eya Laure remains under evaluation after going down with an injury during their clash with Creamline in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Laure was injured while diving for the ball early in the deciding set, with Choco Mucho trailing 9–4 at the time. She had to be carried off the court and did not return for the remainder of the match.

The Cool Smashers went on to secure their first win of the conference, pulling away late to beat the Flying Titans in four sets, 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15, in front of a crowd of 12,600 fans at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Following the game, teammate Sisi Rondina shared that Laure’s condition is not considered serious, though further checks are scheduled.

“Okay naman [si Eya],” Rondina shared to reporters. “Dati naman na talaga niyang problema 'yung sa groin niya and may strain na din ‘yun kasi sa abs. I think napwersa lang din 'yun kanina. But tomorrow meron siyang check up. Hopefully makabalik siya sa next game.”

Despite the scary moment, Laure was seen in good spirits after the match as she exited the arena with her family. She declined to be interviewed but reassured those around her that she was doing fine.

The injury has been a recurring one for Laure, who was forced to sit out several matches for Alas Pilipinas Women during the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
