Vanie Gandler stuffed the stat sheet with a triple-double as the Cignal Super Spikers get past the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Not even a stomach bug could stop Vanie Gandler from leading the Cignal Super Spikers to a 3-0 start in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Gandler delivered a triple-double of 25 points, 14 excellent digs, and 15 excellent receptions in their four-set win over the Farm Fresh Foxies, 25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 30-28, on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Despite the big numbers, Gandler emphasized that the main focus was on helping the team get the victory.
“I just think of however way I can contribute to the team,” Gandler said during the post-game press conference. “So, if I'm in the front row, with scoring, and [when I'm in the] back row, defense. I don't really think of the stats. It's just where else I can help with the team to get this win."
Head coach Shaq Delos Santos confirmed to One Sports that Gandle had been dealing with acute gastroenteritis in the build-up to their match against the Foxies.
For her part, Gandler explained how she was able to battle through the illness and be fit enough in time for the match.
"Right after practice yesterday, I went to the clinic to get meds,” she said. “My number one priority was to be able to eat so that I have enough energy today. I just took the meds, I rested, and thankfully I was able to play."
But it wasn’t just the 25-year-old spiker who made major contributions in the match.
Erika Santos put up 15 markers, while Gel Cayuna had 19 excellent sets to go along with seven points.

With their 3-0 start, Gandler knows there’s still plenty of room for improvement for Cignal.
“I'm really proud of my team because we work really hard and we really try our best to apply everything that's taught to us,” Gandler emphasized. “We still have many lapses, many things to work on, but I'm very happy with how we're willing to learn and improve each training.”
Gandle and the rest of theSuper Spikers will look to keep their unbeaten start as they go up against the Nxled Chameleons, on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Ynares Center Antipolo.
