The PLDT High Speed Hitters power past the Creamline Cool Smashers for their first win in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters pulled off a stunning sweep of the Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23, to open their 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign at the FilOil Centre in San Juan on Thursday, Feb. 5.
In control from start to finish, the High Speed Hitters opened the third set with a 5-1 blast, capped off by Savi Davison’s kill block on Alyssa Valdez.
PLDT continued to pile on the pressure against a full-strength Creamline squad, which saw the return of Jia De Guzman and Bernadeth Pons.
The Cool Smashers, however, would not go away easily, tying the game at 17-all after Pons’ service ace.
Neck-and-neck at 23-all, the High Speed Hitters leaned to Davison to bring her squad to match point, before Jovy Prado sealed the win with a kill block on Tots Carlos.
Davison finished with a game-high 26 points, 13 of which came in the first set alone.
PLDT will look to continue its dominant start as it faces the Capital1 Solar Spikers next on Thursday, Feb. 12, still at the same venue.
