Mylene Paat has taken Trisha Tubu under her wing at Farm Fresh, with the fellow left-handed Adamson products building a mentor-mentee partnership ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Veteran hitter Mylene Paat has quickly embraced a mentorship role at Farm Fresh Foxies, guiding fellow opposite Trisha Tubu as the team adjusts to a retooled lineup ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
From the start, Paat said Tubu’s potential was obvious, especially after two Best Opposite Awards already in the league.
What stood out, however, was the need to bring consistency to her already strong offensive game.
“Actually, ’yun ’yung pinaka-tumatak din sa isip ko since nung kinuha nila ako dito,” Paat told One Sports. “Sabi ko, malakas lang si Tubs, kailangan niya lang talaga maging stable.”

Both left-handed and a product of the Adamson Lady Falcons, Paat and Tubu’s mentor-mentee fit has become rather natural.
That assessment has shaped their daily work, with the two regularly exchanging feedback during training.
“Every training, nagtutulungan kami,” Paat shared. “Lagi niya akong tinatanong—‘Ate, ano pa ba yung kailangan ko? Kamusta yung palo ko?’”
“Sobrang open-minded niya. Ina-accept niya lahat ng tinuturo sa kanya,” she added.
Learning from the vets
Paat was among Farm Fresh’s six key offseason additions, joining Ara Galang alongside Imee Hernandez, Remy Palma, Royse Tubino, and Bia General.
For Tubu, being surrounded by proven players has accelerated her growth and boosted her confidence.
“Madami kaming bagong players, tapos mga veteran pa sila,” Tubu said. “Sobrang laking bagay na may ini-input sila isa-isa sa akin.”
The 25-year-old spiker added that learning from players she once watched has made the experience even more meaningful.
“May kanya-kanya silang playing style at skills,” she said. “Sobrang saya kasi natututo ako from them. Proven and tested na ‘yung mga skills nila.”
The Foxies will be put to the test early as they go up against the Nxled Chameleons later at 4:00 p.m. at the Playtime FilOil Centre in San Juan.
