A new chapter awaits Ara Galang as she continues her PVL journey with the Farm Fresh Foxies, following the disbandment of Chery Tiggo Crossovers.

Just a month since joining the Foxies, Galang admitted the transition has brought a mix of excitement and adjustment as she settles into a new environment.

“Excited siyempre kasi bago eh. Bagong feeling and bagong mga kasama,” Galang told One Sports. “Super excited lang ako kung ano na 'yung one month preparation namin and kung paano 'yung pag-gel namin as a team.”

Why sign with Farm Fresh?

Galang was among the most sought-after players during the offseason. In the end, the 31-year-old spiker chose Farm Fresh, with a specific reason in mind.

“Siguro hinanap ko lang din 'yung kung saan pa ako mago-grow as a player,” she said.

“Alam kong magkakaroon ng new head coach sa Farm Fresh, and international coach. Hindi ko pa yun na-experience.”

That new direction will come under Japanese coach Koji Tsuzurabara, whose international background presents a challenge Galang said she actively wanted to take on.

“Siyempre iba 'yung pag-international. Iba yung sistema nila. Since papunta na rin ako sa new team, why not dun sa new talaga for me?” Galang added.

Beyond coaching, Galang also pointed to Farm Fresh’s roster balance as something that stood out.

“'Yung composition kasi ng team is mixed—half veteran, half bata,” she said. “Maganda siyang foundation na ganun 'yung team.”

Starting from the ground up

While the adjustment remains ongoing, Galang welcomed the challenge that comes with learning a new system and building chemistry from scratch.

“For me, very, very challenging,” she said. “Pero 'yun naman din 'yung gusto ko at hinanap ko.”

As the All-Filipino Conference approaches, Galang kept her expectations with the Foxies simple.

“Ang goal ko naman lagi is makatulong at makontribute para makapunta sa top,” she said.

“Ibibigay ko lang yung best ko, every time, every game.”

First up for Galang and the Foxies will be the revamped Nxled Chameleons on Tuesday, February 3, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan.
