Recovery is the primary focus for Maddie Madayag as the Choco Mucho Flying Titans prepare for their 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign.

Still working through an undisclosed injury, the star middle blocker said her priority is getting healthy enough to contribute when the conference begins.

“I’m recovering, and I’m still undergoing my rehab,” Madayag told One Sports.

“But hopefully, I’ll be able to make it to the conference. Right now, I’m focusing on my recovery so that as much as possible, I’ll be able to make it.”

Full trust in Choco Mucho’s loaded lineup

While her availability remains day-to-day, Madayag said she has been encouraged by how the Flying Titans are shaping up following a busy offseason.

Choco Mucho signed star spiker Eya Laure, along with Caitlin Viray, Alina Bicar, and Jaila Atienza. Add to that the much-awaited return of Sisi Rondina after her successful beach volleyball duties.

“I’m very excited sa magiging turnout ng composition ng team,” said Madayag. “Given na may Eya kami, babalik 'yung Caitlin and Sisi namin, we’re just very excited.”

“We’re hopeful that the new additions will be a big help for us coming to this conference,” she added.

After falling short of expectations in recent conferences, Madayag acknowledged the higher expectations, given their loaded lineup. Still, the former Best Middle Blocker stressed that the group is focused on steady progress rather than shortcuts.

“Obviously, I think every conference has expectations from all teams,” Madayag said. “But again, since it’s been a few conferences, we’re at a stump, we’re really hopeful.”

“At the same time, we’re really working hard to get back to our goal. First semifinals, and then, you know, if we make it.”

For now, Atienza and Loraine Pecana will man the middle for the Flying Titans as they open their All-Filipino campaign on Saturday against the Akari Chargers.
