The Akari Chargers continued their roster reset by signing Jyne Soreño, Cza Carandang, and Judith Abil to bolster multiple positions ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Akari Chargers continued to reshape their lineup ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference, announcing the additions of Jyne Soreño, Cza Carandang, and Judith Abil as part of a roster reload.
Soreño, the eighth overall pick in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, joins the Chargers following the disbandment of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
The lefty opposite hitter will be reunited with her former DLSU teammates in Fifi Sharma, Mars Alba, and Justine Jazareno, as Akari looks to inject fresh energy into its rotation after a busy offseason of changes.
Carandang also arrives from Chery Tiggo, adding veteran stability to Akari’s middle rotation. She is expected to slot in alongside Sharma, Ced Domingo, and Jamaica Villena, giving the Chargers a deeper and more experienced frontline.
Her signing comes after Akari parted ways with middle blockers Camille Victoria and Ezra Madrigal as part of the team’s reset.
Rounding out the trio is Abil, who joins the Chargers after her stint with the Cignal Super Spikers.
Known for her defensive reliability and hustle, Abil provides added depth in the backcourt and brings experience from a tried-and-tested program under head coach Shaq Delos Santos.
With Soreno, Carandang, and Abil now in the fold, Akari aims to stabilize key positions as it prepares for the title chase in the All-Filipino tilt.
