Erika Raagas officially parted ways with the Akari Chargers after a three-year stint, becoming available for a fresh start elsewhere in the PVL.
Erika Raagas officially parted ways with the Akari Chargers, closing the chapter on a three-year run that began when the franchise entered the PVL in 2022.
Raagas was among Akari’s pioneering players during its debut season, helping lay the groundwork for the Chargers in their early PVL campaigns.
"With her strong presence and relentless fighting spirit, Erika showed what it truly means to play with heart. She brought intensity, courage, and passion to every game, leaving it all on the court each time. We wish her nothing but the best in her next chapter," the Chargers wrote in their social media post.
A former Ateneo standout, Raagas brought collegiate pedigree and scoring potential to Akari as it established its identity in the league.
In recent conferences, however, Raagas saw limited action as she dealt with injuries and battled for minutes in a Chargers squad loaded with wing options.
Now entering free agency, Raagas remains an intriguing option for PVL teams in need of added firepower.
When healthy, the athletic wing spiker is capable of providing scoring depth, energy, and experience, which could make her a valuable pickup for a team looking to bolster its rotation in the upcoming All-Filipino Conference.
