Capital1 capped a busy offseason by adding Cherry Nunag, Pauline Gaston, Ysa Jimenez, and France Ronquillo, bringing the team's total number of new signings to eight ahead of the 2026 PVL season.
The Capital1 Solar Spikers continued their aggressive roster rebuild ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference, completing an eight-player haul with the additions of Cherry Nunag, Pauline Gaston, Ysa Jimenez, and France Ronquillo.
Nunag arrives in Capital1 colors after her stint with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, bringing frontline experience and versatility to the Solar Spikers’ rotation.
Known for her activity at the net, Nunag provides another option up front as Capital1 continues to reinforce its blocking and quick-attack presence.
Gaston, meanwhile, joins the Solar Spikers following the disbandment of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, adding composure and proven energy to a young Capital1 squad.
The Solar Spikers also dipped into the Galeries Tower pipeline, securing both Jimenez and Ronquillo after their exits from the Highrisers.
The duo provides added depth in their wings, strengthening Capital1’s overall rotation while offering lineup flexibility for different matchups.
With the signings of Nunag, Gaston, Jimenez, and Ronquillo, Capital1 brings its offseason additions to eight, highlighting its intention to slowly build itself into a title-contending team in the upcoming conferences.
The Solar Spikers had also recently announced the signings of Shaya Adorador, Jasmine Nabor, Ezra Madrigal, and Rachel Jorvina.
Capital1's rebuild comes after yet another season where they fell short of a semifinal berth. The Solar Spikers were 11th in the All-Filipino tilt and 8th in the Reinforced Conference, which was the first full conference that saw No. 1 pick Bella Belen play for the team.
