Chie Saet is turning over a new leaf for 2026 as she signed with the Strong Group Athletics, marking an end to her years-long tenure with the multi-titled Petro Gazz Angels in the PVL.

Saet, 41, has been with Petro Gazz since 2018 and has won multiple PVL championships with the storied franchise.

The former DLSU standout had only played for Petro Gazz in the PVL up to this point, although she suited up for other teams like Cignal in the old Philippine Super Liga.

Since getting on with Petro Gazz, Saet has won four titles — most recently helping the team claim the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference championship late last year.

SGA lauded Saet’s immense experience as they welcomed her to the group.

“Chie Saet joins Strong Group, bringing leadership, experience, and calm under pressure to the squad,” they wrote.

Saet will join either the Farm Fresh Foxies or the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, both under the umbrella of Strong Group in the PVL.

Other signings to usher in the new year for SGA include Bia General and Honey Royse Tubino — both of which, last played with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

Both SGA teams are coming off of optimistic runs in the Reinforced Conference, with ZUS Coffee reaching the Finals, ironically losing to Petro Gazz.

Farm Fresh, meanwhile, was the no. 1 seed but exited in the quarterfinals.
