PLDT middle blocker Dell Palomata is set to break new ground as she takes her talents to Indonesia, joining the Medan Falcons for the 2026 Proliga season in January next year.

The news was confirmed to One Sports by head coach Rald Ricafort.

“Very excited kami for Dell. Full support ang team and management dahil alam naming na malaking tulong ito sa growth and career niya,” Ricafort said in a message.

The 6-foot-3 national team standout, who recently earned Best Middle Blocker honors at the 2025 AVC Women’s Nations Cup, will be the first-ever Filipino volleyball player to compete in Indonesia’s premier professional league.

Palomata will play under Indonesia U21 head coach Marcos Sugiyama, teaming up with Vietnamese national team mainstay and SEA V.League Leg 2 standout Vi Th? Nhu Qu?nh.

Her upcoming stint adds her to the growing list of Filipino volleyball players making waves abroad, joining the likes of Alyssa Solomon (Osaka Marvelous), Jaja Santiago (Denso Airybees), Bryan Bagunas (Osaka Bluteon), and Leo Aringo (Saitama Azalea).

For now, Palomata is expected to help the High Speed Hitters vie for the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference title after reaching the semifinals.

In PLDT’s nine games in the conference, the 30-year-old middle blocker has put up 27 attacks, 14 blocks, and one service ace.
