Tia Andaya already made her mark for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in just her second game in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference

The Fil-Am playmaker orchestrated the Flying Titans’ straight-sets victory over the Nxled Chameleons with 15 excellent sets, to go along with eight points on Tuesday, October 21, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Andaya, who was a spiker before becoming a setter, proved she’s still capable of being a scoring threat offensively after giving Choco Mucho another dimension in attack.

“For sure, I think, well, back in my day, I actually used to be an attacker, so I have a very like attack mindset,” Andaya shared to One Sports. “So anytime I get an opportunity, like I'm going to try to put the ball down.”

Still building chemistry

Beyond her scoring output, Andaya's steady playmaking kept the Flying Titans in rhythm throughout the match.

American import Marlee Smith led the way with a game-high 20 points, while Isa Molde added 11 markers in the win.

The No. 7 overall pick, though, admitted that she is still building that connection and chemistry with her teammates after missing out on the past few months due to Alas Pilipinas duties.

“I'm feeling good. Like I said before, I have good teammates around me. Like when ball control is there, it makes me look good. When hitters are there, it makes me look good, so I feel good,” she said.

“But obviously still learning, still growing. That's always going to be the case, but I'm feeling good.”
