The two opening day matches of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference will get a do-over.

The PVL released on its website that the games between ZUS Coffee and Akari, as well as Capital1 and Choco Mucho, will be replayed on November 4, following issues with the availability of imports during the original fixtures.

In the October 7 games, the Thunderbelles outlasted the Chargers in five sets, 24-26, 25-23, 17-25, 26-24, 15-7.

On the other hand, the Flying Titans swept the Solar Spikers, 33-31, 26-24, 25-23.

However, both matches were played without foreign reinforcements after delays in the issuance of International Transfer Certificates (ITCs) prevented the imports from suiting up.

The PVL later announced that, in the spirit of fairness and competitive balance, the games would be replayed once all necessary clearances are completed.

“The decision was made to ensure all teams can compete with complete rosters and give fans the level of volleyball they deserve,” the league said in a statement.

The replayed matches will now feature reinforcements Anna DeBeer, Annie Mitchem, Oleksandra Bytsenko, and Marlee Smith, adding more intrigue and competition to the ongoing year-ending conference.
