The PLDT High Speed Hitters have bolstered their arsenal for the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, announcing the signing of former Russian national team standout Anastasiia Bavykina.
The 33-year-old Bavykina comes in with more than 15 years of professional volleyball experience across Europe, Asia, and, recently, the United States with the Columbus Fury.
Known for her explosive scoring and steady floor defense, the 6-foot-2 outside hitter is expected to bring firepower and leadership to a PLDT squad hungry to extend its winning ways.
“Join us as we officially welcome Anastasiia Bavykina to the High Speed Hitters family! She will be joining the PLDT squad in the upcoming 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference,” PLDT announced on social media.
Over the course of her decorated career, Bavykina suited up for top clubs such as Dinamo Kazan, Dinamo Moscow, Proton-Saratov, Tulitsa Tula, Zarechie Odintsovo, Luch Moscow, and VC Kuanysh of Kazakhstan.
She also donned Russia’s colors on the international stage, competing in the 2015 European Games and various international tournaments.
The High Speed Hitters are banking on Bavykina’s veteran savvy to complement their local core led by Savi Davison, Kianna Dy, Mika Reyes, and Kim Fajardo, fresh off their back-to-back championship runs in the 2025 PVL on Tour and Invitational.
