The PLDT High Speed Hitters are on the cusp of history as they go for back-to-back championships against Kobe Shinwa University in the 2025 PVL Invitational Finals on Sunday, August 31, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

After ruling the PVL on Tour earlier this month, the High Speed Hitters quickly carried their momentum into the Invitational, sweeping the preliminaries to stretch their franchise-best winning streak to 12 games.

Another victory on Sunday would mark a second consecutive title while capping a flawless six-game Invitational run.

Veteran setter Kim Fajardo continues to steady PLDT’s offense with her leadership and playmaking, maximizing the firepower of Savi Davison, Alleiah Malaluan, and Kim Dy, while leaning on the proven blocking of Majoy Baron, Mika Reyes, and Dell Palomata.

Standing in their way is Kobe Shinwa, whose only loss in the tournament came at the hands of the High Speed Hitters in three tightly-fought sets.

First serve of the winner-take-all Finals is set for 6:30 p.m.
