Erika Santos capped her impressive debut tournament with Cignal by being hailed as PVL on Tour MVP, leading the HD Spikers with scoring explosions and consistent all-around play.
Erika Santos capped her first Premier Volleyball League stint with Cignal in style, being hailed as the PVL on Tour Most Valuable Player and solidifying herself as the league's new superstar.
The hard-hitting open spiker quickly made her presence felt with the HD Spikers, topping the scoring charts in the preliminaries with 87 total points.
She highlighted her run with a career performance against the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, erupting for 30 points in a single match to power the HD Spikers.
Santos continued her stellar form in the semifinals, where she poured in 26 points in a gallant stand against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, even as Cignal fell short of a Finals berth.
The award is a fitting milestone for the 23-year-old, who signed with Cignal in the offseason and wasted no time proving her worth with a new team.
