Erica Staunton has signed a one-year deal with Spain’s Club Voleibol Melilla for the 2025-26 Liga Iberdrola season following her standout import stint with the Creamline Cool Smashers.
Former Creamline Cool Smashers import Erica Staunton is set to take her talents to Europe after signing with Club Voleibol Melilla for the 2025-26 season of Spain’s Liga Iberdrola.
The Spanish club officially welcomed Staunton on Tuesday, June 24, hailing her as one of the most promising reinforcements for their campaign.
The 24-year-old outside hitter, who last suited up for Creamline during the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League, inked a one-year deal as Melilla aims to climb the league standings with a revamped roster.
“She's one of the top-rated recipients of the Asian Champions League,” CV Melilla posted.
Staunton first made her mark in the Philippines in 2024, joining the Cool Smashers midseason and quickly earning a reputation as a high-impact scorer.
She played a pivotal role in Creamline’s grand slam run and was recognized as one of the Best Outside Spikers of the Invitational Conference.

“The Superliga Iberdrola is a very competitive league, and I’m excited for this challenge. I want to learn, compete, and help the team in every match. It’s a great opportunity to grow together with CV Melilla,” said Staunton, as quoted in a release by El Faro Melilla.
CV Melilla, based in Spain’s autonomous city of Melilla on the African coast, is among the fast-rising clubs in Liga Iberdrola.
