The Capital1 Solar Spikers are bolstering their roster with a mix of experience and versatility as they welcome five recruits ahead of the PVL on Tour and the rest of the 2024-25 season.

Leading the newest additions is KC Galdones, a middle blocker who brings championship pedigree and solid net defense from her stint with the Petro Gazz Angels.

Joining her is Rachel Austero, who previously suited up for the PLDT High Speed Hitters and will add further depth in the middle blocker position.

Also making her return to the PVL is veteran spiker Jerrili Malabanan, who last played for Cignal in 2023. Malabanan brings leadership and two-way play as she looks to make an impact with the upstart Solar Spikers.

Rounding out the group are setter Nikka Yandoc and open hitter Ypril Tapia, having played for ZUS Coffee in the previous conferences. The two young talents add depth and familiarity, having already built chemistry as teammates.

The new acquisitions are expected to further boost Capital1 as it aims to become more competitive with Bella Belen, Leila Cruz, and Roma Mae Doromal leading the squad.

The Solar Spikers are set to take on the Creamline Cool Smashers and Cignal HD Spikers in the opening leg of the PVL on Tour on June 22 and 23 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
