Rookie middle blocker Erin Pangilinan embraces the Cignal HD Spiker culture as she prepares for her pro debut in the PVL on Tour.
Erin Pangilinan is quickly settling into her new home with the Cignal HD Spikers.
The three-time UAAP champion made her professional career official after signing with Cignal on Wednesday, June 18, just weeks after being selected sixth overall in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft.
Pangilinan shared that she’s quickly settled into her new environment, thanks to the welcoming and tight-knit culture of the team.
“So far, training with Cignal is very fulfilling for me and especially na 'yung mga coaches samin na pinupush kami maging sharp and maging better every day sa training,” said Pangilinan.
Along with Pangilinan, the HD Spikers also officially signed 18th overall pick Jessa Ordiales from La Salle and undrafted libero Pearl Denura, another product of NU, as it retools its roster for the upcoming conference.
A former NU Lady Bulldog, Pangilinan is already feeling the strong team culture at Cignal—something she believes will be key as they head into the PVL on Tour.
“'Yung team chemistry I think is one of the strongest assets na meron 'yung team kasi every day on and off the court, very close each one of us, especially me na rookie palang ako sa team na nakapag-gel agad ako sa kanila kasi very welcoming, very happy sila na maging part ako ng team,” she said.
With Vanie Gandler and Dawn Catindig unavailable for the PVL on Tour, Pangilinan is expected to step up as Cignal faces Akari and Capital1 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, starting June 22.
“'Yung goal ng team Cignal this season is siyempre to win and also to play with pride and with heart and passion. So far, locked in talaga 'yung goal namin this PVL on Tour,” said Pangilinan.
