Tia Andaya is the latest Flying Titan after Choco Mucho picked the Fil-Am setter 7th overall in the 2025 PVL Draft.
A wave of emotions flooded Fil-Am setter Tia Andaya as she was selected seventh overall in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, heading to fan favorite and perennial contender Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
Part of a two-rookie haul, Andaya expressed excitement in playing for the Flying Titans, especially since the team is up-and-coming in PVL title conversations.
“I can breathe. I was stressing, but I'm super excited. I honestly wasn't sure what was going to come out of tonight, but I'm super excited,” she said.
Of course, an added aspect of playing for the Flying Titans is the fanbase, where the team stands out as the crowd favorite in the league.
For Andaya, a Central Washington University alumni, it presents a unique challenge which she is glad to figure out as she goes along.

“I’ve heard [that the team has a big fanbase]. It's, I'm definitely going to have to adjust, but it's going to be a learning curve, but I'm excited,” she said.
“It's going to be super fun to play for a crowd.”
After also recently joining the pool for Alas Pilipinas, Andaya has had a whirlwind few weeks in Manila. Set to become a household name in the PVL with Choco Mucho’s popularity, she is simply happy to be along for the ride.
With the challenges of playing professionally in the Philippines looming, Andaya plans on minimizing the noise and working on what she can control.
“[I’ll take it] one step at a time. I think just taking things as they come. Staying grounded and just focusing on volleyball is going to be how I get through it,” she said.
Apart from Andaya, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans also drafted Jen Villegas from Adamson University.
Andaya and Villegas reinforce a roster that is led by long-time stars Sisi Rondina, Des Cheng, Kat Tolentino, and the returning Maddie Madayag, who was present for the Flying Titans during draft night on Sunday.
