Veteran spiker EJ Laure finally made her on-court debut for the Nxled Chameleons in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday, January 18.

Laure scored eight points in the Chameleons’ straight-set defeat to the Farm Fresh Foxies, 22-25, 24-26, 21-25, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Even if the Nxled Chameleons remain winless in the conference, the 27-year-old spiker is grateful to be back on the court after a shoulder injury forced her to miss the 2024 Reinforced Conference.

The former UST standout also pointed out an area of improvement after her first match back in the league.

“‘Yung receive talaga pero mag-dodouble time tayo diyan,” Laure admitted.

Laure signed with Nxled during the start of the All-Filipino Conference after parting ways from the Chery Tiggo franchise after nine years.

Now a veteran of a young Chameleons team, Laure hopes to see her teammates' fight in practice translate into their games.
