Cignal proved to be too much for Nxled, 25-18, 25-22, 25-23, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Minglanilla Sports Complex in Cebu on Saturday, December 7.

The HD Spikers move ahead of the pack at 4-0, being one of only two teams left with an unbeaten record to start the conference.

After coming back in the second set, Cignal found itself on the back foot once more, trailing 10-13 after a service ace by the Chameleon's Lycha Ebon.

The game saw some delay due to a power outage early in the third frame which was quickly addressed.

But as action resumed, the HD Spikers turned things around to take the lead at 17-16 after a tip by newlywed Roselyn Doria.

Tied at 20-all, Cignal took a crucial three-point lead after an attack error by Jai Atienza. Ebon pulled one back for the Chameleons, but Ishie Lalongisip sent the HD Spikers to match point.

Nxled resisted by scoring two straight points to threaten within 23-24. But Cignal decided to go to veteran spiker Ces Molina to close the game out.

Vanie Gandler led the way for the HD Spikers with 13 points built on nine attacks, three blocks and one service ace.

Cignal will go for its fifth-straight win against Petro Gazz on Dec. 14 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Meanwhile, the Chameleons will next face Farm Fresh when PVL action resumes on Jan. 18.
