Trisha Tubu looks to carve out a strong PVL career just like fellow lefty opposite spiker Jovelyn Gonzaga.
Trisha Tubu has been making quite a name for herself in the PVL given her outstanding performances for the Farm Fresh Foxies since joining the league in 2023.
The former Adamson Lady Falcons star has even bagged the Best Opposite Hitter award during the 2024 Reinforced Conference.
But before Tubu, there was already a powerful lefty opposite hitter in the league—-Jovelyn Gonzaga.
The two faced off once more in the Foxies’ four-set win over the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao on Thursday, December 5.

Tubu outshined Gonzaga, putting up 28 points as compared to the veteran spikers’ 10 markers.
After the win, Tubu had nothing but praises for Gonzaga, even being inspired by her performance.
At just 24 years old, Tubu has already shown potential to be one of the superstars in the league.
But to become an even more complete player, the lefty spiker is hoping to pick up a few things from the 33-year-old veteran.
‘Yun ‘yung gustong-gusto kong makuha,” said Tubu.
