The Farm Fresh Foxies withstood a gutsy stand from the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles for back-to-back wins in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Farm Fresh Foxies continue their winning ways after taking down its sister team ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in four sets, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 25-19, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao on Thursday, December 5.
This is the Foxies’ second-straight win after going 0-2 to start the conference. Farm Fresh also snapped ZUS Coffee’s two-game win streak.
After a neck-and-neck start in the fourth frame, the Foxies built a four-point lead after an attack error by Jovelyn Gonzaga at 19-15.
With momentum on their side, Trisha Tubu pushed Farm Fresh ahead for its biggest lead at 23-16.
To make matters worse, a service error by rookie middle blocker Sharya Ancheta put the Foxies at match point before Tubu closed the game with a combination play.
Tubu finished with a game-high 28 points on 27 attacks and one block.
Farm Fresh will have one more game before the Christmas break as they face the slumping Choco Mucho Flying Titans on December 12 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Meanwhile, ZUS Coffee will look to get back on track against the undefeated Creamline Cool Smashers on the same day.
