The Capital1 Solar Spikers are officially on the board in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference after outlasting the Nxled Chameleons in four sets, 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-18, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, November 30.

Despite a slow start to the match, the Solar Spikers found their groove in the middle of the second set and would use that momentum to secure their first win in the conference.

In the fourth frame, Capital1 built a commanding lead at 15-7 courtesy of Leila Cruz, Heather Guino-o, and Patty Orendain.

The Chameleons tried to mount a comeback behind the spirited efforts of Chiara Permentilla and Mae Luna. However, the Solar Spikers had a response for every rally thrown at them.

Orendain put Capital1 at match point after her down-the-line hit. After a Nxled point, Cruz connected on an off-the-block attack to seal the win.

Guino-o led the way for the Solar Spikers with 21 points on 19 attacks and two blocks.

Capital1 will head to Cebu for their next match against Galeries Tower next Saturday, December 7.

Nxled will likewise head to the Queen City of the South to search for their first win against the undefeated Cignal.
